Zion Canyon Brewery & Brew Pub

Whenever we are in Las Vegas we always make a 2.5 hour drive to visit Zion National Park in Utah. Now we have another reason to make the drive, to visit Zion Canyon Brewery. In 2012 they opened a brew pub right in the prime location, right at the entrance to the park. The micro-brewery is less than 2 miles back in town, behind the Zion Inn. They have well established themselves under the new ownership since 2013. When we visited on 12-28-2016 they were offering 10 house brews on tap. We tried almost all of them. At the top of our list are: Conviction Stout, Red Alter American Red, Zion Pale Ale, Jamaican Style Lager, Mystery Canyon Dark Stout, and Echo Canyon India Style Session Ale. I couldn't think of a better place to finish a day of hiking than the back porch. Service was friendly, there's a constant flow of hikers coming and going and the view is stunning. We took in a snow covered mountain sunset and then headed back to Vegas. This is tops on our list the next time we come out west.
