Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas

2017-09-06

The last stop on our 2017 visit to Las Vegas was the Hofbrauhaus. It's an imposing building, Vegas style, one block off the strip on the way to the airport. The German theme stands out so you can't miss it, even among all the Vegas bling. The long tables and high ceilings mimic the Hofbrauhaus in Germany. Among the flags, lederhosen and fraulines the walls were covered in beer steins giving it that authentic beer hall feel. They have a stage for the band which we were too early to enjoy. They were advertising the up-coming Octoberfest which is going to have ceremonial keg tappings by Vegas celebs. We ordered up a few HBs: an Original, a Hefe Weizen and a Dunkel straight from Munchen. We also had the German potato salad and a pickle to round out the tastes. When you're in Vegas, take a break from the heat and the slots and head over to the HB, where they serve up German style hospitality by the liter.
