Two Roads Brewing Co

Imagine our surprise as we arrived at the Bradley Airport in Hartford, Connecticut and we stumbled onto a tap room that filled growlers just 10 feet from our gate. We didn't have a chance to visit Two Roads Brewing Co on our visit to CT in August 2019 but we lucked out when we found the tap room near Gate 4. We had a few minutes before we boarded so we decided to sample one last craft brew before we took off. Oh how nice! They had 10 taps offering their signature brews, unfortunately 3 had kicked. We were happy to sample the Espressway oatmeal stout, Two Juicy double IPA with grapefruit, pine and tangerine and their Rose Gose. Oh we wish we could have tried the Creamsicle nitro orange but it had already kicked. Our server was very attentive and enjoyed having a conversation with us about the operation. We learned they could fill growlers but the machine was offline, otherwise we would have grabbed two for the road to bring back to Florida. A tap room in the airport offering local craft brew - what a great idea! We hope they do well and we will be looking for more opportunities to start and finish our brewery tours in the airport for now on. Never pass up a chance to try some local craft.
